Ann
Williams Ann has trod a rather unusual road to becoming a writer and educator. She started her career with technical qualifications and spent the first decade of her adult life in the male-dominated environs of heavy industry (printing, motor manufacturers, and even a leather tannery) where she has held the positions of production manager and quality assurance manager. A large portion of her time was spent writing and organising technical and management documentation as well as doing practical staff training. She started her career as a journalist by writing articles for a neighbourhood newspaper in East London. A year later she was working full-time for a stable of the newspapers in the area as both a freelance journalist and a sub-editor and locum editor. She later worked for Business Day newspaper as a sub-editor and journalist and went on to become the online editor. She has written in the fields of quality assurance, science and technology, management and commerce, education, medical and life-skills. She has also worked in Public Relations and has extensive organisational skills on PR and community projects and committees. She has received national awards and recognition for this work. She has various
qualifications and studies in polymer technology, quality assurance, commerce,
information technology and marketing but she most enjoys getting things
done in practice. |
